A Little Time Away
There are seasons when we are called to show up differently.
For the next few weeks, I will be stepping away from the Clarksville Downtown Market and from my usual rhythm of baking. The first of those weekends will be spent on a long-planned vacation with family, something I am very much looking forward to. The weeks that follow will take me somewhere else, to spend time with family who needs me right now.
Family. Presence. Time together.
I have written so much about what this little bakery has taught me: patience, attention, the importance of slowing down, and perhaps most of all, learning to recognize what is being asked of me in a particular season.
Sometimes that means showing up before sunrise, turning on the ovens and baking loaf after loaf for a Saturday morning market.
And sometimes it means turning the ovens off.
I am deeply grateful that the life I have built allows room for both.
So, for a few weeks, the flour will stay in its bins, the baskets will stay on their shelves, and my Saturday mornings will look a little different.
Art of The Crumb isn't going anywhere. I'm simply taking a little time away to be present with the people I love.
Thank you for continuing to show up for me, for this little bakery, and for the bread I am so fortunate to place into your hands each week.
I'll see you back at market soon.
Warmly~
Kathy
